show review by JULIO BROCIO

Hello

Just back from Barcelona, I was in the first of the four concerts that Eric Sardinas played, this is a kind of review, it would be very nice if Tammy used this mail for his
[sic] lovely site, feel free to do it!

The set-list played was:

- Imperial Strut (instrumental)

- You Don't Love Me

- The Girl I've Been Loving

- I'm Worried

- Sidewinder (instrumental)

- Can't Be Satisfied

- Same Ol' Way

- Get Along Rider

- Hard Rock Blues

- Flames of Love

- I Wonder Who (i think this is the title, was the first time i heard this tune)

- Down in The Bottom (with the Mike Dupke's drum solo)

- Instrumental (the beer bottle slide and bonzo's guitar...)

The venue was very small, in fact the venue is a small disco of Barcelona, with a semicircle stage, I was on the wall and I was very near to the stage. The show was very good, as always, and I heard for first time some songs. It was strange that they were selling "Black Pearls" CD copies but at the show they only played two songs from that album. In fact it's strange that Eric Sardinas plays a lot of covers and not many of his owns songs. "Cant Be Satisfied" and "Down in The Bottom," from the "Treat Me Right" album, are covers…

During the show the slide fell to the floor and someone from the audience put the slide on Eric's finger while Eric was playing with his right hand tapping, was very nice. After the show I was talking with Eric, Paul and Mikey, they were very kind as always. Eric was very happy cause one person gave him a nice book full of Eric's band live pictures, and someone gave to Eric a tape of his own band. Eric was very happy about it and asked this person for his address to let him know what he thinks about it…

That's all by now…

Thanks

Yours

Julio Bricio, from Valencia, Spain

ps/ In some days I will be in one of the two Valencia's show that Eric Sardinas will play, hope to send another review.
